At Mandz Jewellery we believe that as unique individuals we express a part of who we are through how we present ourselves to the outside world. This includes what we wear and how we dress, our makeup choices, variety of tattoos/piercings and all various associated accessories. We aim to champion that self-expression through enabling you to find a piece of Jewellery that represents who you are and firmly believes that no matter your size, style, shape or budget, you should always be able to find a piece of Jewellery that makes you smile, feel fabulous and bring you joy each and every day.
About Amanda
Mandz Jewellery was created by Amanda Cooper, a lifelong lover of all things sparkly, bright and colourful so combined with a passion for all things Jewellery, Mandz Jewellery was created. Following a diverse career in Corporate Learning and Development as a Management Development Trainer and Business Coach, Amanda’s long-term love of all things Jewellery developed into a burning curiosity to learn more about how to create and construct unique pieces that work for the diversity of individuals. That passion for learning new techniques and ways of working, with multiple materials, continues to develop to this day and, as with all learning, is ongoing.
This curiosity culminated in the creation of both subtle and dazzling resin pieces balanced with the delicate and elegant simplicity that is found with silver. All pieces are handmade at a home studio in the stunning county of Cornwall and, with its ever-changing environment, provides continual thought-provoking design inspiration. Amanda herself has also previously trained in colour analysis making her ideally placed to source colours that work for you. She is also beginning to offer new product lines and recently has moved into Resin Glassware.
Our Process
How We Source Recycled
The sterling silver used in all designs is recycled, this is the earring backs (butterfly) across all jewellery are .925 Sterling Silver, as are the chains which are purchased directly through Cookson Gold. The chains we use change on pieces however currently we have moved to are the Sterling Silver 1.7mm Oval Belcher Chain 16″/40cm. The (dangling) earring backs on the resin pieces are also .925 sterling plated bought through Cookson Gold, surgical steel backs are also available, which do not release any chemicals when they break down and are therefore also considered an environmentally conscious recyclable product.
The resin used is epoxy which is completely non-toxic when cured and, in its component parts, is purchased via Apex Resin, who focus on sustainable production and offset carbon footprints through several initiatives. They also develop their measuring tools in such a way that they can be reused to reduce production waste. Check out Apex Resin for more information. Why We Source Recycled
Through conscientious practices and use of recycled materials in the pieces we offer, we are aiming to support the reduction of the ‘use once and dispose’ culture found in contemporary society. This is in the hopes of contributing, albeit in a small way, to sustain our environment
Supporting Local Businesses
Mandz Jewellery supports the various ‘buy local’ initiatives around Cornwall and contact details can be found in our Community Hub for several local businesses.
